45: Brunch & Hyde Park

We left around 9:30am today to ride into Surrey Hill for brunch!

After getting confused with the construction at Central Station, we got to our brunch place. We ate at Four Ate Five, which was pretty good! I ordered a coffee frappe and Keri ordered an orange juice. It was a simple menu, yoghurt muesli with fresh fruit (like homemade parfait) and smoked salmon bagel. But simple was delicious!

After filling up on food, we rode the train to the north side of Hyde Park which was just outside St. James Station. Hyde Park felt kind of like Queen's Park with several statues, monuments and one main fountain.

We also overheard that there was a Sydney Zombie Walk at 4pm at Hyde Park with at least 1000+ zombies. They said you can get your face painted for free at a nearby store, Forever 21. It sounded cool but we had to get home early today for packing up. We walked from the north to south ends of Hyde Park. We walked by the ANZAC War Memorial which was on the south end of Hyde Park.

At the south end of Hyde Park, we rode to Circular Quay to head to the Mrs Macquarie's Chair/Royal Botanical Gardens. While Keri roamed around the gardens, I wandered to go shopping in the Pitt Street Market. Its interesting to see the different architecture around, from modern to the previous generations. I also wandered around playing Ingress and found a nice art display with bird cages! So cool!

Afterwards, I met up with Keri again for food. We decided to take the train back to eat somewhere closer to our home, Hurstville it is! We ate at a nearby Korean restaurant and had a stone bowl and chilled buckwheat noodles. You can't really go wrong with Korean food?

Anyways, we have to get started on packing! T-minus 10 hours till flight to Proserpine!
