28.99: The Layover in HKG

Just when I thought Japan couldn't get better...

When our Hong Kong Express plane pulled out of the gate, Narita Airport station attendant employees guided the plane to the proper position. As the plane started off to the take off ramps, the station attendants all stood beside the plane, waved goodbye and smiled to the plane. They bowed and clearly someone else on the plane waved back. It was a touching scene.

The plane ride to Hong Kong wasn't that bad. I ended up taking a nap on the plane. I must have been tired from the cleaning and packing up till 1am last night. Afterwards, Keri and I played Rummy (card game) on the plane.
We checked out of immigrations and joined my Aunt Pamela for dinner. She was helping me ship several items back in boxes via boat. We had lots of stuff for sure!

We took the bus to Tung Chung MTR Station which also had an outlet mall next to the station/bus terminal. This was convenient as we had dinner. We had Korean food and it was delicious! After two stone bowls and one noodle dish, we were full. We spoke on the phone with my Uncle Alex and caught up with Aunt Pamela on places in Tokyo. She's heading there next week.

Keri and I took the bus back to the airport and roamed around and did Ingress stuff. Hurray for free WiFi at good airports! We walked around terminal 1 & 2 and found ourselves a nice sleeping area. See below for my makeshift nap zone, it feels cozy no? We found plugs and decent sitting/sleeping zone!

Not sure if we'll be able to sleep, but hopefully get a nap. I know we'll be crashing for sure on our first day in Cambodia. T-minus 4 hours till check in. 6 hours till plane ride!
