47: Through Bowen & Roo!

Today, we took a car ride around Bowen!

We stopped by the big mango which was next to an informational booth. There were tons of maps and guides and mango souvenirs. Apparently, Australia, the movie with Hugh Jackman was filmed here.

We also went by the Bowen Wharf and boy was it amazing. We ate mango sorbet while walking down the wharf. We saw turtles surfacing, rays, fishes, welcome sparrows, terns, school of snappers, and so much more! The water was so clear, reminded me of Wasaga Beach but insanely better.

We also went through farming areas that grew tomatoes, zucchini, mango, melons, and capsicums to list a few. We saw caravan parks, which could get full around during winter times!

Afterwards, we headed home for lunch and had make your own sandwiches with the leftovers! They had home grown tomatoes which are delicious! I totally feel like growing stuff after this trip.

After lunch, we went to Flagstaff Hill lookout. It was a nice sight to see all of Bowen and the horizon! Breathtaking! After taking all the sights in, we went to the shore area and picked up shells for Keri's aunt Meryl. She does arts and crafts with seashells!

We visited another set of farm areas. Of course, we saw tons of mango trees. After coming to this place, it makes me feel like having a mango tree.

Keri's uncle and aunt also had a nice sense of wandering. They weren't afraid of getting lost nor admitting to the fact that they were lost. They actually like it. I didn't mind as well! (Assuming we have gas left to get to the gas station.)

We headed back home and chilled for a little bit. We decided to head back out at 6pm to find me some Roos (kangaroos)! I apparently saw none back in Cuballing which was rare, so we had to find wild ones here. We saw tons of birds, pelicans, peacocks, black cockatoo, parrots and more! Around 7pm, we managed to see 6 wild roos! Hurray! Finally saw some!

Mission completed, we headed home for dinner. Dinner was great! Keri's aunt is a good cook. So we're all stuffed.

We have a long day ahead, day trip to the Great Barrier Reef! So we'll sleep early!
