43: South Cronulla Beach & Ingress Dinner
Today was a good day for laundry. The sun was out and no rain the day after! We got our laundry hung up and started our day.
We had pho for breakfast at Miss Saigon Restaurant near Hurstville Station. It was a decent size and the soup base was pretty good!
Our first official pho since we left Canada. Variations of noodle soup didn't count. We walked to Hurstville Station for our picnic food such as Chinese baked buns, bubble tea and the supermarket.
We went to Cronulla Station for the South Cronulla Beach because it was closer to the station. Our host recommended taking the ferry across to another beach with less tourists, but we liked South Cronulla beach! It was just perfect! We chilled and attempted to sun bathe a bit on the beach. We really weren't beach people.
After the beach, we walked around the Cronulla central business district. It was cool, quiet and tons of little shops. We went to Cronulla Station and headed to North Sydney half of the area to meet up with local Ingress agents for dinner.
There were tons of agents, around 30+ people at a pizzeria! There were 1 and 2 meter long pizzas distributed among several tables. At our table, we met several people abroad that weren't from Sydney, like Melbourne. Its pretty surreal talking to people and knowing the same common friends online.
We walked around the neighborhood for a bit and headed home around midnight. It was a good day!
