18: Squirrel Park, Chill Day.

Today, we woke up later than usual at around 9am cause of yesterdays intense Ingress activities and tons of walking. We decided to take it a bit easier today.

I made congee for the morning with the MUJI rice cooker that was part of our Airbnb place. With the other information provided by our host, we decided to head to a local attraction in Machida, Machida Risuen (a Squirrel Park)! We paid 400 yen admission cost and 100 yen for food to feed the squirrels.

We entered through a two sets of sliding doors. One employee opened the door, while the other remained closed. Then it alternated as we exited. It seemed like a smart precaution to prevent squirrels from escaping. We entered through a protected area of free roaming squirrels! Everyone had to wear mittens similar to oven mittens to feed squirrels cause they bite.

Keri, Tiffany and I all got some squirrels eating off our mittens! There were tons of kids roaming around too. I managed to get a squirrel to eat from my mitten and on to two other kids' mittens!

Afterwards, we headed a nearby park for a temple and then to the CoCo Curry House next to Tsurukawa Station, which was delicious! I had the clam curry, omnom! We then headed back home for a quick rest and Keri and I went to UNIQLO.

UNIQLO Japan is so different than UNIQLO Hong Kong. Apart from Japan service of bowing, their change room service is so different! You take off your shoes to your carpeted change room. For women, there were also heeled shoes for you to check your outfit with! So different than the North American service.

Being in Japan for more than four days, I feel obligated to bow and say thanks a lot more than normal! Such Japanese etiquette!

Later, we're heading to another nearby shop, Hotto Motto, which serves bento boxes! So far, the food here has been really delicious!
