Journal: Musical - Avenue Q
When I was in high school, I took several music courses like band class and vocal class. I sang solos and duets from musicals like Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz and artists like Whitney Houston. These classes shaped who I am today, a singing individual with a tiny case of stage fright.
Yesterday, I brought my boyfriend to watch Avenue Q at Lower Ossington Theatre. I've had the soundtrack to this musical for over 5+ years but never actually saw the musical. While it's in Toronto, I thought this may be a good chance to watch it. The musical was around since 2003, but this was the first time I had seen it.
We stopped by the Tim Horton's near the theatre for our Roll Up The Rim beverages and relaxed before the showtime. We went to Lower Ossington Theatre, located on Ossington between Dundas Street West and Queen Street West which is accessible via the 63 Ossington Bus.
The theatre itself had a folded chair seating arrangement. It was a very intimate room/stage distance. The show itself was pretty fantastic, who doesn't love puppets and singing?
